• Question

In which countries is our method available?

Our method was initially launched in France, but is now in use in Germany, Benelux, Spain, Italy and Switzerland. A structured training program in Germany over several years has allowed for a regular increase in the number of end-user clinicians. In addition, the laboratory regularly receives samples from America and Asia.

  • Question

Is the cost of the analysis reimbursed by the health service?

The report is not covered by the health service and must be paid for in full by the patient. Some private healthcare plans may fully or partially cover the cost of the report.

Even so, a Proteomis profile is a fairly inexpensive undertaking. Spread over six months, the profile, medical bills and treatments often don't amount to more than 2 or 3€ per day.

  • Question

    Is the Proteomis report reliable?

The report was developed on a scientific basis within the field of biomedicine.

Over the years, several million measurements have been recorded. Cross-referencing with this huge database means that results can be considered to be accurate.

  • Question

On a preventive level, how often should a Proteomis profile be taken?

If a preventive Proteomis profile shows no evidence of a serious change, then a test every two years is sufficient.

  • Question

What are the advantages over other diagnostic and therapeutic techniques?

A Proteomis profile provides more detailed results than a traditional blood test and, with regards to chronic conditions in particular, can highlight the root cause of a disease.

The Proteomis protects detects changes in the body much earlier than conventional diagnostic techniques. The Proteomis profile can, therefore, be used as a preventive measure, i.e.: for prevention of illnesses in general.

Unlike other techniques, the practitioner will receive not only an individualised diagnostic patient report, but also individualised therapeutic strategies. Treatment and recovery plans are, therefore, patient specific. Being natural in origin, they are efficient and easy to tolerate.

The method use is minimally invasive: a simple blood test (min. sample 7ml of whole blood.).

The use of Proteomis profiling is inexpensive.

  • Question

What do I do if there’s no doctor near to where I live?

Any doctor can prescribe a Proteomis report. The sampling equipment can be obtained from Proteomis, 119 Boulevard Saint-Michel, 1040 Brussels, Belgium.

The sample can be taken in a health care centre or by a nurse. It should then be sent to Proteomis.

  • Question

    What is the Proteomis profile?

The Proteomis profile is a biochemical technique that takes measurements from serum proteins and presents them in a graphic layout. The profile provides an overview of a patient's body and its functions. Pathological conditions are manifested by deviations in one or more values that are measured against an extensive data bank, which takes into account age and sex. The Proteomis profile is a reliable tool for evaluating the need for further diagnosis. By using profile results, this method can then provide customised, therapeutic indications that are appropriate for each individual.

  • Question

What is the use of the Proteomis profile?

The Proteomis profile is particularly useful in health conditions such as:

    • allergies
    • food intolerances
    • chronic inflammation
    • chronic pain
    • skin diseases
    • rheumatism, arthritis, osteoarthritis
    • vegetative nervous system disorders
    • chronic fatigue
    • hormonal disorders
  • Question

What should you do before the blood test? Is any preparation necessary?

The blood test must be done on an empty stomach. Do not eat or drink for six hours before the blood test.

Your doctor should inform the laboratory of any medications being taken or treatments being followed by the patient.

  • Question

Where can a Proteomis test be taken?

Every country has health care practices that routinely use the Proteomis profile. Contact us at  info@ceia.com for addresses in your area. In Germany, you will find a list under the 'Arztsuche' section.
